Getting to Know Anna

What's your position at MG? What does that mean for you? 

I am the Regional Director for Molly Green. Being our Regional Director means so much to me. I am able to coach and connect with all of our Molly Green Family every day. 

How did you get started at Molly Green?

My sister and I, Brittany opened the very first Molly Green together in Homewood. It has been such an amazing journey to work alongside such an amazing woman! It was the summer of 2010 and she called me and just asked “Do you want to open a store in Birmingham with me?”. It was a no brainer, I loved fashion my sister and honestly wasn’t doing anything as interesting as starting a new fab business. The rest is Molly Green's history! 

What do you like most about your job?

I love hitting the sales floor and helping our beautiful customers find styles that they love and feel good in. I love styling and making connections with our wonderful customers! 

What is your least favorite part?

I guess my pet peeve is going into a store that has sad plants. All of Molly Green stores have real lovely living plants and we trust each store to care for them. Some of our plants are over 5 years old, so they are kinda like family at this point. When a plant is sad its always my least favorite. 

Favorite MG memory?

Lordy, I have so many! Most of my favorite memories are during store openings, lots of long hours, and delirium. When Its 12 AM and I’ve been working with my favorite people all day. It always ends with me in the floor cry laughing because of something that's really not that funny. I think doing something challenging together like opening a store from scratch brings everyone closer together. It's like winning a battle and now we are all the survivors, you have a forever bond and a beautiful new Molly Green store. 

Favorite item you've gotten from MG?

I have a dress from way back when, probably the first year we where open. Its a Dusen Dusen dress, you should look this designer up she is amazing! The dress is a simple fit and flare collared button-up dress, but the print is what really makes it special. The dress is covered in tiny little cute bugs! I feel like Ms. Frizzle when I wear it and I just makes me so happy. 

How would you describe your personal style?

My style has drifted to a neural space right now, just think cool tones and denim. I usually have on a scarf, a pair of sneakers, and I love a pair of extra-large gold hoops. I’ve never taken my personal style too seriously, I know it's going to change with time, functionality and trends. I'm always willing to try new styles, but I always want to feel good in what I have on. :) 

What inspires you?

I am inspired by all of the strong humans I work alongside every day. I know it's corny but I love our Molly Green Family and I get inspired by each of them every day. 

Do you have a secret talent?

I can talk to woodland creatures. :)

What is something not a lot of people know about you that you wish they did? 

I love going to bed early and chamomile tea. 

When you're not at MG what are you doing?

Right now my husband Brad and I are remolding our home in the woods. So most of my free time is spent doing something like ripping out carpet or handing Brad tools. Also we have a wild puppo that loves hiking, so maybe sprinkle that in as well. 

Do you have anything you want to promote?

Being kind to others, small gestures can make someones day a little brighter. 

Favorite thing you've done recently?

Getting married, and starting a family. I love being a dog mom!

Is there anything you want to add? 

Molly Green has been such a large part of my life, she has helped me become the human I am today and I will be forever grateful. I have met and worked alongside so many wonderful people. I love Molly Green and what she represents to me, being an ever-growing individual with a killer wardrobe.
