Getting to Know Elysabeth!
What's your position at MG? What does that mean for you?
I am the Store Manager at The Summit location. Being the manager means that I am responsible for building and training the team our customers see every day in the store. I make sure the store stays running smoothly by keeping everyone on the team on the same page, and making sure we are all doing our best to help make our customers feel comfortable and confident when they shop with us! I do everything from merchandising to creating the schedule and doing payroll.
How did you get started at Molly Green?
Two and a half years ago I was looking for a job in Birmingham after I graduated college. I interviewed at so many different places, but none of them felt right. When I finally interviewed with Molly Green for the Sales Lead position I instantly knew this was where I was supposed to be!
What do you like most about your job?
Knowing that every single day I come in to work I get to help people feel confident and cared for.
What is your least favorite part?
Inventory Counts
Favorite MG memory?
A woman and her daughter came in panicking, because her daughter had spilt something on her birthday dinner outfit. I was able to help them find a completely new outfit, that she looked amazing in! The mom and daughter were so thankful for the help that they both hugged me before they left. Being able to help them truly made my day, and I love seeing them come in and shop from time to time.
Favorite item you've gotten from MG?
My denim jacket. I never leave my house without it!
How would you describe your personal style?
Simple. I love basics and neutral colors that I can mix and match so many different ways! But I also love a funky print or pop of color occasionally :)
What inspires you?
The women and men in my life who are unapologetically themselves. I have always been a go with the flow and try not to stand out type of person, but being surrounded by such strong and confident people has shown me that it is okay to be yourself.
Do you have a secret talent?
I can draw fairly well!
What is something not a lot of people know about you that you wish they did?
I originally went to college wanting to be a graphic design artist, but realized while taking drawing and design classes my love for fashion, design, and illustrations.
When you're not at MG what are you doing?
Cuddling with my kitten
Favorite thing you've done recently?
I started learning how to hand embroider!
