Hey, friends!
I'm Brittany Hartwell, and I founded Molly Green with my sister in 2011. We're a women's clothing boutique now based in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. For the past almost 14 years, we've been all about friendship, fashion, and those little details that make life unique. And if there's one thing that adds a special touch to any space, it's flowers. They're timeless, joyful, and always in style. Like fashion, flowers can be a simple, profound source of beauty.
Discovering The Weekend Flower Club
I recently connected with Lauren Sloat and her sister Jordyn McCloud, the creative duo behind The Weekend Flower Club. They've started the most charming flower pop-up business, and I fell head over heels for their mission to bring joy and beauty to our city—especially on weekends! You can find more information about their schedule and where to find them on their Instagram page.
Planning a Fun Collaboration +A Dreamy Photo Shoot
The gals will be set with their flower pop-up outside our 12th South location this Saturday, the 10th, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Imagine strolling by our boutique and seeing vibrant bouquets ready to brighten your weekend. 🌼 We also teamed up with the super-talented photographer Genevieve Davis for a photo shoot. It was a hot, buggy August evening, but undoubtedly worth it! Fashion, flowers, and the cutest little green car you've ever seen—what more could you want? The photos turned out beautifully, and I'm excited to share them with you. (see all the lovely images below)
A Little Chat With The Gals From The Weekend Flower Club
I got to ask Lauren and Jordyn questions about their journey and love for flowers. Here's a peek into our conversation:
What inspired you to start this business?
Lauren: I've always wanted to work with flowers. A pop-up seemed like the perfect starting point—something I could do now, with room to grow. Jordyn: Our mission is "to bring joy and beauty to our city," which inspires us, especially on the weekends.
What's your favorite flower?
Lauren: That's a tough one! But if I had to choose, I'd say a white tulip. They're just so elegant and straightforward.
Jordyn: I'm a chamomile and daisies kind of gal—certainly favorites!
What advice do you have for anyone looking to start their own business or brand?
Lauren: Don't be afraid to start, and keep it simple! Do your research, but don't let it hold you back. You can't steer a ship that isn't moving. Your brand will evolve once it's out in the world, and that's the fun part!
