Travel Looks: Mexico Ed. Image

BY JESS McCLANAHAN, MG INTERN

Hey MG Babes! My name is Jess and I am an intern here at Molly Green! I recently took a trip to Mexico and I wanted to share with you some of my favorite MG looks that I brought on my trip with me!

The first look pictured is this white dress. I absolutely love this dress it is the perfect white dress to take on vacation! It has super cute puffy sleeves that are cinched at the bottom. You can wear them on your shoulders or off the shoulder to create a sweetheart neckline. This dress is so flattering to all body types! It comes in at the waist and then flares out at the bottom to create a fit & flare shape. To add a pop of color I tied one of my favorite scarves from MG in my hair. This dress is absolutely perfect for your next vacation and is best paired with your fresh off the beach glow.

The second outfit I wore on my trip is this jean skirt and pink ribbed crop top. I love this jean skirt because you can dress it up and or dress it down. I love the fringe detailing at the bottom and the button fly makes it the perfect pair for a shorter top. I love the highwaisted fit of this skirt and the length is great! The ribbed top is one of my favorite basics that I have bought from Molly Green. It is super comfortable and can be a great layering piece as well. I accessorized this outfit with one of my favorite trends of the summer, straw hats! Straw hats are great on and off the beach, you can shop them in store or online here at Molly Green.

Here are some more fun pictures from my trip!

This was taken at Chichen Itza which is a famous site of Mayan ruins. Outside of the ruins local vendors set up shop for all of the tourists. I loved how colorful everything was and how every piece sold was one of a kind. I also loved how passionate each vendor was about their art, they worked very hard to persuade tourists to buy their products. It was definitely very different shopping here than at your local shopping mall

This is a picture taken of a cenote in Progreso. A cenote is a deep, water filled sinkhole that is created the roof of an underground cavern collapses. This creates a natural pool which is then filled by rain and water flowing from underground rivers. Cenotes were also used by the ancient Maya for sacrificial offerings. It is now an attraction for tourists to swim and learn more about the Mayan culture. This cenote was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!

This is one of the Mayan temples that is still standing at the Chichen Itza site. It was absolutely incredible to get to see the Mayan ruins and learn all about the rich history of their culture. The architecture was insane and it is hard to believe that these temples are still standing after thousands of years!
